After its historic rise from the league basement to its first championship in 2022, the Adirondack Aces have just captured their second straight Atkinson Cup with a 2-1 win over the El Dorado Lynx in game 6.
The Aces’ Nino Niederreiter played playoff hero, scoring both Adirondack goals in the win. Rookie netminder Daniil Tarasov was the unlikely starter and shut the door after Alex Ovechkin scored in the first period.
