Puck Drops on 2011-2012 Season!

In News on November 27, 2011 at 5:28 pm

Skates have been sharpened, sticks are taped, and the 18th Gump Worsley Memorial Hockey League season is about to get underway!

Will the West Virginia River Rats be able to defend their title, even with last season’s scoring champ Sidney Crosby out with injury? Is this finally the year a team from the Plante Conference takes it all?

Can impact rookies like Jeff Skinner and Taylor Hall give hope to fans of Nashville and Great Lakes, respectively? Will new digs give new leases on life to the five teams that relocated this off-season?

Anything can happen. So ready your anthem singers! Prepare your 50/50 draws! Bring out your watery beer! Drop the puck!
